December 2009 Board Minutes

Minutes of the Palo Pinto I.S.D. Board of Trustees meeting in
Regular Session, December 16, 2009.

Members Present: Cody Cloud, Vice-President, Brad Connelly, Kerrie Hall
Members Absent: Bud Price, President and Beverly Fuller, Secretary
Also Present: Eric J. Cederstrom, Superintendent & Teresa Mahan, Principal

Quorum was present. The meeting was called to order by President, Bud Price.  
Eric J. Cederstrom, Superintendent, certified the provisions of Article 6252-17, Civil Statutes as amended by the 63rd Legislature Special Session has been complied with in regard to public notice of the meeting.

Communications and Reports from Superintendent
• Current enrollment numbers were presented to the Board.
• Clarification was given that January would be the month for appraisal/evaluation for the Superintendent.
• Review of community survey regarding addition of seventh grade.
• Continuing hours for board members was presented.  

Consent Agenda
• Board Minutes approval was motioned by Brad Connelly, seconded by Cody Cloud and approved unanimously.
• Bill payment approval was motioned by Brad Connelly, seconded by Kerrie Hall and approved unanimously.
• The financial report approval was motioned by Brad Connelly, seconded by Cody Cloud and approved unanimously.

Business Items
• Motion by Kerri Hall, seconded by Cody Cloud to table officer elections.
• Motion by Cody Cloud, seconded by Brad Connelly and approved unanimously to renew TASB membership for 2010.
• Motion by Kerrie Hall, seconded by Brad Connelly and approved unanimously to renew TASB Property Casualty Insurance for 2010.
• Motion by Cody Cloud, seconded by Brad Connelly and approved unanimously to accept the independent financial audit for 2008-2009.
• Motion by Kerri Hall, seconded by Brad Connelly and approved unanimously to approve Eric Cederstrom and Teresa Mahan for access to district safe deposit box.  
• Motion by Cody Cloud, seconded by Brad Connelly and approved unanimously to adjourn.
